As one of the staple "eccentric/irascible genius solves crime" TV shows, Lie to Me is not among the best of them. (It's better than Psych, probably, but that's because Psych has gotten so much worse from what it once had been, I watch it for the comedy now, which doesn't say much about a supposed crime comedy. But that's another post for another day) Nevertheless, I still enjoy watching Lie to Me because I feel like it has realistic characters. Even the good guys (and gals) have problems, weaknesses, and failures.
Anyway, several thoughts about the character relationships on Lie to Me:
1. I am rather astounded, but this show, to me, has just about ZERO slash potential. I don't know how this can happen with three regular male cast members, two of whom are actually interesting. (Reynolds is not interesting, yet.)
2. On the other hand, this show has AWESOME female characters: Ria, Gillian, Zoe...even Emily manages to be non-annoying/cute at times.
( Babblings about ships. )
Oh and I LOVE the theme song. "Brand New Day" by Ryan Star.
( And from the moment I saw her, I was hell bent with heaven sent )
