Saw Wolf Hall (Part 1) at Winter Garden tonight.
- Posters are deceiving! Anne Boleyn is at the center but she gets like 1/10 of the stage time. Her character feels a bit caricatured, but God is Lydia Leonard pretty to look at. (She was in Archipelago, too!)
- Cromwell, the unlikely protagonist. Kinda fun.
- Even WOLSEY was fun the beginning parts. God forbid.
- Katherine of AragornI might as well come out and say it...I prefer The Tudors version a la Maria Doyle Kennedy.
- Looks like they spent all their non-personnel budget on costumes (very lovely ones, I assure you) so they had no money left for the stagingI'm talking about, like, none. Mostly there were chairs for people to sit on. A table, if somebody had to write something.
- Act of God
- Finding Neverland
- The Visit
