The 2002/2006 version: My Fandoms: the Good, the Bad, and the Developmentally Challenged
The 2008 version: To All the Fandoms I've Ever Loved
The 2010 version: The Fandom on the Edge of Forever
The 2013 version: Fandom as a Love Experiment (done in June 2013, 6 months late)
The 2014 version: If I had a Million Fandoms
The 2016 version: It's Raining Fandoms! Hallelujah!
The one who seduced you and fucked you over and broke your heart in a million pieces and laughed about it:
If it wasn't for this survey I probably wouldn't even remember it, but yeah, The Vampire Chronicles.
The old flame you don't see very often any more but whom you still really enjoy getting together with for a few drinks and maybe a pleasant nostalgic romp in the sheets:
Marvel's Thor/Loki, Hisoka/Illumi from HunterxHunter if only there were some not-so-OOC fics out there, Sherlock's Mycroft/Sherlock, plus Corazon/Law from One Piece.... (Yes, I'm mostly copying from my previous answer.)
The mysterious dark gothy one whom you used to sit up with talking until 3 a.m. at weird coffeehouses and with whom you were quite smitten until you realized he really was crazy:
Does Naruto as a fandom count? Even if I was in it for years and years?
The one you spent a whole weekend in bed with and who drank up all your liquor, and whom you'd still really like to fuck again although you're relieved he doesn't actually live in town:
…Ikki/Hyoga a la Saint Seiya? *total facepalm*
The steady:
I’m actually mostly reading original Japanese yaoi manga/doujin at this point, without the need (impulse?) to do fanfic because the gay (rather, the yaoi) is right there in your face. With that said, I’m still in love with Misumi/Amou from Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai even though supposedly that will never fly (probably because it will never fly? Because I’m bored as hell with the actual pairing, Doumeki/Yashiro…)
The alluring strangers whom you've flirted with at parties but have never gotten really serious with:
Onmyoji pairings, like Daitengu/Hiromasa and Syuten/Ibaraki.
The one you hang out with and have vague fantasies about maybe having a thing with but ultimately you're just good buddies 'cause the friendship is there but the chemistry ain't:
Still Discworld still Discworld still Discworld. And Good Omens.
The one your friends keep introducing you to and who seems like a hell of a cool guy except it's never really gone anywhere:
Akai/Gin from Detective Conan. I ended up as an Akai fangirl instead, not sure why.
The one who's slept with all your friends, and you keep looking at him and thinking Him? How the hell did he land all these cool babes?:
This is pretty past tense but basically Kylin/Xie from Grave Robbers’ Chronicles. Well, it’s not like I don’t get the pairing. I just...didn’t feel it, at all.
The one your friend has fallen for like a ton of bricks and whom she keeps babbling to you about on the phone for hours, and you'd be happy for her except you just know it's going to end badly:
Some of my friends have gotten into Chinese idol fandoms, which never ends well.
